As we get older we become more mature and realize that we are responsible for how we treat others. Of course we treat others as we want to be treated but honestly sometimes it doesn't make a difference. Sometimes people are just plain mean and it can destroy your happiness. Once someone makes a pattern of mistreating you it's time to make some changes. No one wants to feel miserable so it's okay to do something about it.

Dirt Pudding

We love this fun summer time dessert! It's a fun surprise for the little ones especially after a day of summer planting. I like to serve ours in clay pots with gummy worms. Just find a patch of green grass and sit with friends. It's really easy to make so let's get started.

She put on her dress and I looked at her and smiled. When did she grow into such a little lady. So capable and ready to learn? The years have slipped right by and she isn't a baby anymore. She isn't even a toddler. She is a young lady that is full of so many gifts to give to this world. I looked at her hello kitty brush and started brushing her wavy blonde hair. The house was really quiet. Much more quiet then usual. I decided to pull a small piece of hair and do a little braid.

Preschool Graduation

Last week little Brianna graduated preschool. That little girl who was born not so long ago all of a sudden looks like such a little lady. I spent the morning crying tears of happiness and sadness. I'm so proud to be her mommy.

The Best Chicken Salad Ever

My mom and I went out to lunch just the two of us. That doesn't happen very often and it was a nice treat. We both ordered chicken salad and the wedding soup. It wasn't a fancy sandwich but it was delicious and we both knew we had to recreate it.

Our Summer Porch

Our porch is always a comfortable place for us to cozy up during summer days and nights. I especially love sitting outside with the Mr. during quiet nights. You will even find me working outside a lot during the summer months while the little ones play.

Truth About Bloggers

If you're a blogger it's true that we don't sleep enough. Many nights we wake up with an idea. Ideas are immediately written down or typed into your phone. If not we smack ourselves because we can't remember that amazing idea!   Your husband gets it. He isn't embarrassed that you are photographing your food on date night. Or confused because you want to pull over in the middle of no where to take pictures. He knows exactly what a tutorial is and he's your stand in photographer.

Graduation & Flying Peanuts

 My brother graduated college a couple of weekends ago. The Mr. had to work so it was my three little ones and myself and I was terrified. I really didn't know what to expect from them. I try not to put them in situations where they have to remain quiet for long periods of time. Honestly I have trouble keeping quiet for long periods of time. I wasn't sure how large of a class he was graduating with or how many times I could hear summa cum laude without repeating myself.

Summer is Here

Our days are warmer and the nights are longer. I just love the summer time. Everyone seems happier. The kids and I have been spending a lot of our time outside. Poor Nevaeh has band aids on both of her little knees. Dylan is learning to ride his new bike without training wheels and Brianna is lover her scooter. The garage is filled with summer time toys and sidewalk chalk drawing are covering the driveway.

Hello Monday

Something about Monday is amazing. Yes we are rushed and back to work but there is something about a new week that makes me happy. Or maybe I'm just in a good mood. We had one of those weekends that was packed full of love and celebrating but also tears. So I guess today brings a new start. A day when I'm trying my very best to get ahead.
