Style Identity Crisis Follow Me

Fashion can be a scary subject for some of us including myself.
Believe me there are so many hot trends I would love to pull off.
I find myself on a budget and having a style identity crisis.
Seriously when was the last time you shopped in Forever 21?
I could spend an entire day there and still be confused with what I love.
It can seem like a huge place and it overwhelms us with so many choices.
Choices can just kill a person who already is confused with her style identity.
Don't Ask... I can be complicated when it comes to dressing.
So what's a girl to do when she isn't sure?

Have a little fun putting your outfits together. I promise these old rules don't all still apply. Wear a brown cardigan with a black belt and I promise your purse doesn't have to match your shoes.
It's all about what you like and wearing it with confidence.

It's all about how you feel about what you are wearing. So girl look in the mirror and say "I look good." Then get out there and walk like you knew exactly what you were doing while putting this outfit
together. Maybe you did and maybe you didn't but wear it proudly.
We all have fashion fails and that's alright just try again tomorrow.

The hottest trends can be scary especially to the fashion challenged. I get it really I do but sometimes we just have to go for it and not over think our choices. It's supposed to be fun so go ahead and wear the bright colors and add more accessories. There really is no right or wrong way to go about it.

This can take a long time to do. My advice is to shop sales first and foremost. The best sales are after season. Which means yes you will be buying that sweater in the spring instead of the fall. I do this for everyone in our family. Then next winter, look at my new sweater. Thrifting is also a way to build your closet. You can find beautiful lasting brands if you take your time.

Remember fashion trends may come and go but style stays!

  3. These are such great tips. Having more money to spend on clothes does not equal having good style . Work with what you have and trust your gut....you know what looks good on you :).

  6. Beth, what great advice! And I would add that it's good to buy pieces that mix and match so you can get by with far less. Love your cute pics!

  8. I actually did a post on thrifting today as well! It's such a great way to get some 'trendy' items for a quarter of the price!
