Road Tripping

Monday after lunch we decided to make a last minute road trip to the metroparks. It was a cold windy day and the air was so frigid but we needed to get out of the house and do something. The littles have been driving each other bananas.

Everyone was bundled up and prepared for the cold temperatures including me. I wish you could have seen the five of us bracing ourselves against the wind. It was quite the sight and little Brianna accidentally grabbed a pair of my gloves but they worked.

We spent a lot of time inside with the newborns on the farm including these darling little piggies that were just born on the fifth of February. They were just the sweetest and we all fell in love with them right away.

Smores were being made outside near a fire and Ohio maple syrup was on hand to taste. We enjoyed doing something a little out of the ordinary even if we were all freezing. The kids got to ride in a buggy pulled by a miniature horse and we watched horse shoes being made.

We all loved the details of the trains and of course the animals were our favorite. Sometimes I wish that we lived on some property and had a little farm. Just big enough but not too big. The kind of property that you didn't need to weed whack and instead enjoyed the tall grass in between fence posts. For now though we are city folks.
