Washer Box = Superhero Backdrop

Do you have a Super Hero wanting a super birthday party?

Don't worry I've got a super simple project to set the stage for your party. Stop by your local appliance store and ask if they have an empty washer box that you can have for a project. Once you get your box you need a big space to unfold it. Use a sharpie marker and draw a draft of tall city buildings.

Once the buildings are all drawn out carefully use a razor blade to cut out the silhouettes of the buildings. It's already beginning to look like a city don't you think? The next step requires some paint.

I used a flat black paint. I rolled the paint on in the freezing temperatures. I hope your weather is much warmer. The cardboard has now begun to take on a whole new look.

Once the black paint was completely dry I needed to work on some windows for those city buildings. I used a yellow piece of chalk and just drafted the windows. Nothing fancy and definitely not perfect. The last step was to paint in the windows. We did the painting together or I should say until he got bored and then I was on my own.

I watered down the paint just a little so that the process would go a little bit faster. It was super convenient because it folded right up which made it easy to travel with. This was a great piece for the party and we took lots of pictures in front of the buildings.
