There isn't much selection for candles these days. Brianna and I stood together as she struggled to pick out a candle for her fifth birthday. This little girl was waiting for another choice. Where are all the pretty candles? She asked.
What is a frustrated momma to do? We had birthday errands to run and the candle wasn't going to ruin the productive day I had planned. I picked up the boring red number five and headed to the rhinestones. I picked up a small package for .99 cents.
I got to work with my X-Acto blade. I slowly cut the red off of the boring red candle. It came off really smoothly and I was excited to start attaching the rhinestones. Once the red was removed I used Tacky Glue to attach the small rhinestones where the red boarder once was. Once the candle was dry it was ready to use.
It turned out beautiful for our little ladies fifth birthday!
