Our school does a fundraiser called the Calendar Tea. Parents volunteer their time to host tables for an afternoon luncheon. Each table is different and decorated beautifully. My girlfriends and I decided to create an Alice in Wonderland table for our friends. You have watched our table come together on Instagram but I'm crazy excited to show you how everything turned out.
Each place setting was done with a large checkered plate and a bright colored salad plate. We used gold utensils and white folding napkins. We went with a mismatched theme and it turned out lovely.
This dish was so perfect that we had to make room for it on our bright and fun table. Isn't he the cutest white rabbit? Something about him makes me smile.
A black checkered table cloth was used as a runner and colorful tea cups were placed around our centerpieces. We loved getting these ladies together for a girls afternoon.
We filled a glass box with small cookies that said "Eat Me" and "Take One" in bright beautiful colors to match the table. It sat on top of two Alice in Wonderland books.
Each of our water glasses held a black and white chevron straw with an attached label that read "Drink Me". Black checkered coffee cups and crystal stemware meant we were drinking in style.
Our friends each received a fun top hat to wear and take home after the luncheon. Each hat was made with different fabrics and embellished. I will be sure to post a tutorial on how to make your own.
We served appetizers before our lunch and the prettiest desserts after. We all drank lemonade and wine for the perfect afternoon. Just relaxing with friends and sharing lots of laughs.
The floral centerpiece was full of a variety of colorful flowers and a mad hatter hat tilted to the side. A rabbit statue wearing a sports coat and tie found his way into the center of the table. Along with a large black clock.
Sitting in front of each individual place setting was a frame filled with quotes from Alice in Wonderland. Every frame was different and made a cute favor for our friends. Some of my favorite quotes were "We're all mad here" and "Very Merry Unbirthday".
I hope you loved our table as much as we did. I can't wait to share the other tables from the Calendar Tea with you! Be sure you are following along so you don't miss anything friends and start pinning!
