Our school Halloween parties are coming up and I wanted to do something a different. I thought a costume contest would be fun for our second graders. I went on a search for trophy ideas and made a trip to The Dollar Tree. I found a skeleton garland and knew they were perfect.
- Plastic Skeletons (The Dollar Tree)
- Small Round Wood Plaques
- E-6000 Glue
- Hot Glue
- Black Spray Paint
- White Card stock
Begin by using your hot glue gun to glue the joints of your plastic skeleton. You want them to stand straight.
Next glue the feet in place. Hold it for a minute or two to make sure it stays in place.
Once the glue is dry get ready to spray paint your skeleton trophies with a flat black paint. While it's drying which won't take long decide what your trophies are going to say. We are giving away seven trophies in these categories.

Go to your favorite photo editing site or make a stop at Microsoft Word and type in your costume categories. Play with the size and fonts and once you like it print on white card stock. Cut into strips and hot glue on your skeletons.
